Carbon fiber reinforced carbon (CC)

High strength composite material consisting of a carbon or graphite matrix with carbon fiber reinforcement with high specific strength and rigidity, extremely high resistance to thermal shock and pseudoplastic fracture behaviour. Especially suited for high-tech applications.

SIGRABOND®
Isostatically molded graphite (Iso-Graphite)

Isostatically pressed graphite is an especially fine grain, dense, isotropic graphite, which can be produced in large dimensions.
High purity graphite

All graphite grades can be purified to low ash contents. Element concentrations can be below spectroscopic detection limits.
Molded carbon and graphite

This class of materials contains ungraphitized carbon (hard carbon with small crystals), graphite and graphite containing carbon (hard carbon with graphite contents) and has a high anisotropy. These materials offer an extremely wide property profile with regard to mechanical strength, friction and conductivity, which can be even further enhanced by impregnation with resins or metals. Special materials can be processed economically in large quantities by pressing components close to final size (press-to-size-technology).
Extruded graphite

This graphite is available as round and rectangular blocks, with relatively fine grain size, and has good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties, with a preferential grain orientation and low ash content. Density, mechanical strength and oxidation resistance can be improved by means of further impregnation.
Carbon and graphite felt

Flexible carbon and graphite felt is an insulating material manufactured by carbonization of natural and synthetic fibers with unique textile, chemical and thermal properties. Rigid graphite felt is a shape-retentive insulating material made from graphite fibers or felt and a carbon binder. It is suitable for temperatures up to 3000°C and used in the forming of self-supporting sheets, cylinders and other components.

SIGRATHERM®
Graphite foils and sheets

This unique material is based on natural graphite. Properties are highly anisotropic, particularly in respect to electrical and thermal conductivity. Graphite foil, sheets and rolls are available in different thicknesses.

SIGRAFLEX®
Carbon and graphite yarn

Low-modulus carbon and graphite yarns are high in strength and flexibility. Several different coatings and sizings can be added which aid in handling, braiding, and break in, which effectively inhibits corrosion.
